Pay-In Method Codes

When calling the India Pay-In API (/in/pay/prePay), pass one of the following codes in method:

UPIUPI aggregated payment (Unified Payments Interface). Supports any UPI app such as PhonePe / Google Pay / Paytm via QR or deep-link. Recommended.

Notes

  • India currently exposes UPI as the primary Pay-In method. method is required — pass "UPI" and the cashier page will route to PhonePe / GPay / Paytm and other UPI wallets automatically.
  • Amounts must be whole-rupee integers (INR); decimal amounts are not supported for India Pay-In.

Bank Code Parameters (Disbursement)

For India disbursement (/in/disbursement/cash, /disbursement/query), the bankCode field carries an Indian IFSC code.

IFSC code format

IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is an 11-character string in the format BBBB0BRANCH:

  • First 4 letters = bank code (see table below).
  • 5th character is always 0.
  • Last 6 characters = branch code (provided by the beneficiary — do not hardcode).

Example IFSC values: SBIN0001234, HDFC0000123, ICIC0001234.

Usage

  • Full IFSC = bank prefix + 0 + branch code (e.g. SBIN0001234, HDFC0000123).
  • Pass the full 11-character IFSC provided by the beneficiary as bankCode, the account number as bankCard, and the beneficiary name (ASCII only) as accountName.
  • The table lists mainstream Indian banks. For cooperative or smaller banks, refer to the RBI’s official IFSC directory.
